About

As a professional storyteller, I’ve worked with major brands ranging from tech, to real estate, to healthcare.

In my current role as a Content Development Manager at HCA Healthcare, I’m responsible for writing blog posts, playbooks, thought leadership articles, internal memos, and social media posts for internal and external audiences. Because I’m on the Human Resources Communications team, it’s incredibly meaningful to know that my work reaches more than 283,000 colleagues at one of the nation’s largest healthcare providers.

At Asurion, I wrote articles and produced videos about technology and connected lifestyle for Asurion’s digital platforms. As my team’s go-to strategic storyteller, I consistently produced our most high-profile projects. One of my favorite aspects of this role was having creative freedom to tell brand stories in different ways.

Prior to my career in corporate communications, I worked in TV news for seven years, in three different newsrooms, first in Cincinnati, then in my hometown of Nashville. Being a morning news producer means arriving at work long before the sun comes up (my workday usually started at 2:00 a.m.) and writing nonstop for about four hours, before heading to the control room to “booth” your newscast. Broadcast news is an exciting and challenging industry and it made me a fast and accurate writer.

In my free time I enjoy traveling, gardening, cooking, hiking and camping. I love growing tomatoes and peppers and making salsa and hot sauce every summer. I’ve been to eight National Parks so far, and I like to try to add one or two each year. I’m a Nashville Native happy to be living back in my hometown along with my husband and our dog. Before moving home I had to chance to live in all four time zones in the continental United States (have not lived in Alaska or Hawaii … yet!)
